Global Recycling Day
Every year, the Earth yields billions of tonnes of natural resources. However, in the not too distant future, they will be depleted. That is why we must think twice about what we take and what we throw away – seeing not waste, but opportunity.
Global Recycling Day takes place on 18 March to recognise and celebrate the importance recycling plays in preserving resources. It is a day for action, for the world to come together in educating and changing the mindsets of governments, businesses, communities and individuals around the world, to see recyclables not as a type of waste, but as an important and valuable resource.
#Connect2Earth on Earth Hour 2022
Humanity’s unsustainable demands on the natural world are leading to climate breakdown, habitat loss, and devastating declines in wildlife. You can help by taking action for people and the planet this Earth Hour—from striving to live more sustainably to trying to influence world leaders to do the right thing.
One of the simple ways to live more sustainably is to practise recycling in our daily lives. It can help in conserving natural resources, saving energy, reducing waste to landfills and protecting the environment. Our connection to the Earth and nature is undeniable; our planet’s gain is everyone’s gain.
